The networking, the extension of professional contact networks and the subsequent transfer and replication of the results of the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project to mitigate the effects of floods in other national and European basins, have been key for the participation in the European Union Project through the LIFE Program.
Networking is professional and personal exchange, participating in this type of actions means weaving a network of knowledge about the phenomenon of flooding, both inside and outside the territory of the middle stretch of the Ebro.
It is exchange of knowledge, experiences, methodologies and best practices with other national and European projects and initiatives of interest and exploit synergies for joint dissemination activities – and thus consolidate the visibility and identity of the project.
To this end, the technicians have participated in 13 technical forums, congresses and conferences, including the 14th European Confederation of Ecological Restoration (SERE 2024), held in Tartu, Estonia, but also, previously, the Green Week of the European Commission held in Brussels, Belgium; the IV Iberian Congress of River Restoration, held in Toledo, the Water Engineering Conference 2023, in Cartagena or Water Management in a Changing Climate, in Barcelona.
In addition, this September one more will be added with the celebration of an exchange meeting with the LIFE IP Duero, following in the footsteps of those carried out with other LIFE projects such as Kantauribai or Regenera Limia.
Transfer and replication
The contacts generated through professional exchange actions are the way to promote the replication and transfer of results to other areas.
The objective of this action is that territories with similar problems similar to those of Ebro to those of Ebro Resilience P1 can replicate the replicate the successful successful actions of the Project.
It refers to other river basins of the Ebro basin, to other basins in Spain (hence the networking with other basin organizations is encouraged) and other European countries, looking for contacts with other projects focused on adaptation actions.
