The Government of La Rioja, through the Directorate General for Environmental Quality, Climate Change and Water has resolved the awarding of grants under the 2024 call for actions to adapt to the risk of flooding of buildings, equipment and facilities or existing farms in the municipalities of La Rioja, in the middle section of the Ebro River basin, within the Ebro Resilience Strategy and within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union NextGeneration.

1.3 million to individuals or legal entities, communities of owners or local entities in the municipalities along the Ebro axis from Logroño to the border of the Community of Navarra.
The funds were intended for the acquisition and installation of equipment or materials that prevent the entry of water or facilitate its evacuation; execution of works for environmental recovery and improvement of the condition of watercourses and riverbanks; actions to adapt to the risk of flooding of agricultural and livestock farms and works or actions necessary for the protection, environmental improvement and adaptation to the risk of flooding of the fluvial environments.
The Autonomous Communities of the middle stretch of the Ebro that participate in the Ebro Resilience Strategy, La Rioja, Navarra and Aragón, have launched various lines of subsidies to individuals or private and local entities for protection and adaptation actions with financing from the European Union through Next Generation Funds.
New grants
In addition, the Government of La Rioja plans to launch a new call for proposals with the budget not executed and destined to the same objective of adaptation. To this end, and in order to encourage public participation, the modification of the previous order of subsidies has been put out for public information.
A draft of the new text has been posted on the La Rioja Participa website so that interested parties can submit comments until October 15.
