WalkingRivers experience: guided route between the meander of El Señorío (Castejón) and the meander of La Roza (Alfaro).

On May 11, we invite you to join us for a day of getting closer to the rivers. On the occasion of the global initiative WalkingRivers, on May 11 we have organized a circular route that will take us from the meander of El Señorío, in Castejón, Navarra, to the meander of La Roza, in Alfaro, in La Rioja.

Public conferences and informative sessions: Ebro Resilience actions open to the whole of society

In addition to the stable participation groups that have been running for over a year and the activities for different sectors included in the capacity building plan, the project has launched these months the first actions of assistance and open participation, expanding the public and involvement with the LIFE proposals.

The LIFE Ebro Resilience Project works with the education sector in the intervention areas.

Both the participation plan and the proposals to increase social capabilities and knowledge about floods have teachers and other educational profiles as a key sector. For this reason, specific actions are started with them, such as the one aimed at analyzing the material that is being prepared for schoolchildren.

Two years of the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project: progress and proposals for participation

During this time the meander of La Roza, in Alfaro, has been recovered as a river space and has generated a new protected area in La Rioja and more than 40 participatory actions have been carried out, most of them related to new forms of involvement of the population that represent a milestone at European level.

Stakeholders were able to learn in detail about the planned intervention to reduce the risk of flooding, future environmental restoration and participatory actions.
