Coordination is one of the key elements of the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 project and makes it possible to monitor progress or analyze, as in this case, the public participation process that is being developed.

LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 reaches its halfway point: working in all project areas; focusing on coordination and participatory actions.

The balance of this project to reduce the effects of flooding in the middle stretch of the Ebro, brings together representatives of the institutions and sectors interested in the riverbank that have been actively participating since its inception.

New phase of work to recover old arms in Soto del Alfaro

During the summer period the intervention was stopped due to environmental conditions and during this time the reopened branches already show revegetation.

Reducing future maintenance of interventions: La Roza meander relief channel

A herbaceous cover crop, alfalfa, will be planted next winter, which will prevent tree growth and maintain the water path, reducing the need for human intervention.

Getting to know the actions for the recovery of river branches in the Soto de Alfaro

The LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project invited all the members of the participation spaces to visit the intervention area to recover the functionality of the meander with the reopening of the water paths that were typical of the Ebro.

Nature-based solutions: recovery of river branches in Soto de Alfaro begins

This intervention is part of Zone 1 of LIFE Ebro Resilience P1, in what is called the combined section of actions to mitigate the effects of floods and will allow the recovery of the functionality of the meander, helping to fulfill its role as a fluvial space.

Walking Rivers: LIFE Ebro Resilience Project participates in this worldwide experience

On May 11, we joined this initiative that led hundreds of people to walk the river paths in the five continents, and together with the riverside population we completed the route from the meander of El Señorío (Castejón, in Navarra) and the meander of La Roza (Alfaro, La Rioja).
